This week’s ‘Dog of the Tues-Day’ is:
DAKOTA - who lives with one my my dogblog readers named Jessica, up in New Hampshire
Kota wrote a little note to share with us:
“Hi All! My name is Dakota, but my friends call me Kota. I’m a young female German Shepherd livin’ it up in luxury with my mommy, Jess, and my sister, the cat, who I don’t always get along with! I love going to the beach because my favorite thing to do is swim (and dig!). Every time mommy takes me to the beach she brings my favorite toy; my tennis ball. I haven’t met Saint Norbert Liv yet, but we are great pen pals through our mommies! Hopefully someday I can show him around my favorite spot at the beach and maybe even share a tennis ball, although I’m not very good at sharing!”
I would like to go to the beach one day Kota! Did you know dogs can get sunburned? I’m sure Julie with slather-slother the SPF on me because a sunburn and Norbert would not be friendly with each other.
A tennis ball would be great to share, but what I would really like is to share THIS:

A dog birthday cake! Love that. My b-day is next month so I will start dropping some hints. Did you blow out the candles? Looks like you were enjoying the cake:

Thanks for stopping by my blog Kota. Make it a great week!
Love Norbie

I am completely flabbergasted! I just found out about something called the United State Postal Service. Do you know what that is? Wholly sizzling steak tips! I thought everyone sent emails and text messages, but apparently there is a company that delivers paper, cards and even packages – that people write on, and then they pay to send the mail all over the planet. I find this pretty spectacular that the delivery folks know how to get all the paper and parcels from: A to B. Well done!
I found out about this service when Julie was sharing with me how she met her friend Dawn. In the third grade, Momma’s teacher asked the kiddos if they knew where the state of Ohio was located. Then the teacher went on to explain how the students would write letters to a 3rd grade class in Ohio, and use the mail service to transport the hand-written archaic papers. Julie and Dawn wrote letters back and forth all through elementary school, and then middle school, high school and college – when they finally met in person after sooo many years! I think that is just such a sweet story. Thank you Postal Service for you part in creating this splendid friendship!
Julie even went to Dawn’s wedding last year:
I was able to meet Dawn and her husband when they came for a visit to Boston last summer. Such a lovely duo! We got a bite to eat and sat outside on a patio. I pooped on the ground – whoops! That was the only time though in my life, and everyone just thought it was cute, so whatevs.
Here I am with Dawn out on the patio. I was a teeny-weenie-brown beanie!

And here is one of Julie and I that same evening. I’m looking exaggeratedly knackered:

When is the last time you wrote a hand-written letter? Just to say hello to someone? Kind of a nice idea dontcha think? Email me and I will give you my address :)
I will be revealing one of my biggest quirks in my next Tail. No laughing though. Okay? OKAY?
Sincerely, (that is how they end real letters sometimes!)
