~ An Apple A Day…

“…Keeps the Vet Away”

ESPECIALLY, if the apple looks like this!

Yesterday I mentioned I was going on a big adventure, and boy did I ever.  Julie and I put on our wooly sweaters, trekked through the brr-brr chilly air and ended up at THE pristine, white mecca of computer technology blissfulness. The APPLE store! Not just any Apple store, but a tri-level flagship computer kingdom.

I don’t drool much, but I salivated something fierce when I saw this…

Here is why the Apple store rocks my Chorkie world:

  • friendly - open the door for us, allow Chorkies into their store, take  your picture and tell you how impeccably adorable you are
  • clean – the floors are so immaculate you’d eat off them
  • name tags – not good with names? no problem! all the workers wear name tags around their necks ( I could have included this under the “friendly” bullet point above, but I just think it deserves its own little plug. I want my own name tag because folks are constantly asking me my name)
  • customer service – our personal MAC specialist spent 2 hours showing me the ins-and-outs of my new Apple baby, was very patient and answered all my questions.
  • products – this one is intensely obvious; Apple computers are marvels…almost incomprehensible, right? HOW do they even work? Genius.

Norbert + Apple = deep, kooky love

I am such a fortunate Chorkie. Julie believes in me so much that she made this purchase to support my creative writing endeavors:

And even BIGGER news: I am getting my veeery own website for my blog! Can you believe that? Ya, uber-ridiculoso exciting. I will keep you posted for shizzle on the development.

I was going to pose the question: MAC vs PC?, but we all know there is no point in debating it. Instead, let’s all just gush over how mad-delicious Apples are. It’s conclusive: an Apple a day will definitely keep Norbert’s vet away. Although…

My vet is super fun. Last time I went in, they gave me treats-a-plenty and a new hairstyle along with my checkup:

A hint below for tomorrow’s Tail. Get ready for it!

Steve Jobs you da man! Please invent a puppy friendly keyboard. Oh, and a teleporter, because that would be a good invention too. Yeah, a telelporter.

Cheers, Norbs

CLASSICAL MUSIC……hang on, red light, don’t leave this blog page, its not going to be a boring Tail! Promise.

I listen to Light Classical melodies when I am writing. The music inspires me and I can almost see the translucent musical notes floating through the air with delicate ballerinas fluttering in the background.

Click below por favore, and then come back to my page. Oh turn on your volume too – unless you are at work because I don’t want you to get in trouble, teeh-he he:

Welcome back.

So you are thinking, “okay Norbs, where are you going with this?” Stay with me now…

The ballerinas convey a cultivated grace, an ethereal and almost impossible balance. I have personally never done ballet – c’mon, me in a dainty pink tutu, I think not – but I imagine the dedication, training and study of the art is, well, tough! The key word nestled in this art form that stands out to me is balance. Physical balance, mental balance.

Julie is always chatting up this topic. See, she is a Libra. When she first mentioned it I was like, “you’re a zebra?” Um, confused. But then she restated it more clearly: LIBRA, sign of the scales, symbolic of balance. Momma holds this as a top value in her life and has done so since she was little. This piece of art work below momma created in high school. It reflects what “balance” meant to her at that time.

My, how the complexity of the juggling act increases as we grow. What kinds of balls does your personal juggler have to manage in order to maintain balance?

Wrapping this back around, I wanted to share with you my personal Balance Dance, a tribute to ballerinas and to everyone, who strives for harmony and personal centeredness. (my spell check doesn’t recognize the word “centeredness” but I am feelin’ it; heck I’m just a chorkie so I won’t fuss with the minutia). Enjoy.
